Many coatings can be used  to give the look but its all about the performance & functionality like we mentioned before but. The application we recommend for Automotive would be a PVD or DLC. They booth offer many different types of coatings and hardness ranging or averaging from 2400 HV(hardness) - 6500HV(hardness) and DCL ranging from 2000 HV- 5500 HV as well as coefficient's of Friction of 0.1 - 0.55 and a micron thickness of 1-6um (Microns) if requested differently we can adjust thickness if required

(notification is needed).
